Acme People Search by Tissa Godavitarne: Scam or Genuine Internet Marketing Business? – A Review

Making money online has its many pitfalls and dangers. There are hundreds of people out there who claim to be messiahs of online fortunes – the ultimate in home-based business, etc. Only a few deliver.
When I started out on this road, I had the same dilemma. How do you sift the wheat from the chaff? How do I discern a wolf in sheep’s clothing? Well, it was no easy task, as I’m sure you’ve found out yourself.
After months of researching online, months of encountering glib and scammy sales-talk, but nothing concrete, I came across Tissa Godavitarne – and his Acme People Search. He started a niche people search engine once he realized that although 30% of all searches on the major search engines were people-related, and that the major search engines provided very little detailed info in those searches.

He was offering $125 within the first 24 hours if you signed up for all 3 steps (the first step is free, by the way). (The $125 offer has been discontinued since 2010). I checked him out and found to my surprise that he not only provided his telephone no. online, but his address as well. He also entertains visitors at his office at least once a week, and hosts free webinars three times a week, which anyone can join for free, and can talk to him personally and ask questions. He also has a very interactive forum where you can ask any type of questions regarding internet marketing and getting started.
This intrigued me as this was quite different from anything I had ever encountered. So I signed up for step 1, and soon I was at step 3. By the way, at step 1, once you are signed up, he gives you your own version of the People Search Engine and then he gets you to sign it up with Clickbank, HD Publishing, and My Life - companies who pay you commissions when people use their services which are offered on the site.

He has a great feature on his forum (signup is free), where if you become a Super Sponsor by posting helpful tips or advice (30 posts in 30 days), he gives you $133 to pay for your your monthly subscription at Wealthy Affiliate University (top internet marketing university), your GDI and Hostgator webhosting, and now, even your GVO subscription – every month that you continue to qualify!

(Note: Please note that both the $125 payout in 24 hours and the Super Sponsor program have been discontinued. )

So, is Tissa’s program a scam? Is he one of those clever internet scammers out to relieve you of your hard-earned cash? I certainly didn’t experience that, and I do believe tons of people would tell you the same. Just go to the forum and check it out for yourself. It’s free!
Of course, as anyone will testify, making money online involves dedication, commitment and hard work. But I did find that Acme People Search was one of the best ways to make money online (since that's what we talk about here, heh!), to base your home-based business on – with solid support and interaction.
